Main & Side Dishes - BBQ - Smoke and Grill

‍Mike's Special BBQ Sauce

‍I didn't have any BBQ sauce on hand one time and decided to make my own with ingredients that  I had at hand. I first used it on grilled BBQ chicken wings but found that it went well with any grilled or smoked meat. It has always been a hit with my family. This recipe makes about 1/2 cup.

‍Ingredients

‍4 Tablespoons ketchup

‍1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

‍1 Tablespoon maple syrup

‍1 Tablespoon apple cider vinegar

‍1 teaspoon honey

‍1 teaspoon toasted sesame seed oil

‍1 teaspoon ground black pepper

‍1 teaspoon garlic powder

‍1-2 dashes of Tabasco sauce

‍Directions

‍Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and mix well.

‍I usually taste and add more of whatever is needed.

‍For a variation once, I tried soy sauce in place of the Worcestershire sauce - also very good!
